Mark Hamill weighed in on the latest Star Wars update that has fans freaking out. Episode VIII got a new title on Monday: Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
‘The Last Jedi’ could hold so many meanings, but many fans speculate that this title refers to the beloved Luke Skywalker. During an interview with the Associated Press, Mark Hamill shared his thoughts on the matter.
“It’s got a real samurai [feel],” Mark Hamill said. “It’s straightforward and minimalist, and I like that.”
Hamill dropped another bombshell during the interview when he confessed that he had known about the title for a while now. Keeping such a powerful secret worried him, but I imagine that he felt honored to be one of the few who possessed such knowledge.
“It’s funny, ’cause back when we were making the original, nobody cared [about the title],” Mark Hamill said.
Well, things have certainly changed.
And on December 15, every Star Wars fan will be able to uncover the secret behind Episode VIII.
